Detailed itinerary: 8 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru national park.
You will be picked up by a safari driver upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Your driver will transfer you to Lake Nakuru national park, you will arrive at this beautiful wildlife haven in time for lunch whereby you will first check in your rooms, have lunch and relax. Afterward, you will go hiking at Makalia cliff which offers an amazing view of the Makalia falls, and baboon cliff for a spectacular view of Lake Nakuru. Return to the hotel in the late evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game viewing and Birding
After having your morning breakfast, meet your safari guide for a briefing, and afterward, go for your morning game drive. You will be able to spot a variety of wildlife species found within the park including the members of the African big 5 and other interesting animals. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for lunch and after go for birding which is an exceptional experience in this park since it hosts an ideal vast number of colorful outstanding flamingos, different water bird species, and acacia species. You can take their photos and later retire to your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve and evening game drive
Enjoy your breakfast and check out of the lodge, Meet your driver and embark on your journey to Maasai Mara national reserve. Depending on the time your will arrive, you will have time to relax and have lunch. Later in the evening, you will go for a game drive in the Olare Orok Motorogi conservancy for a perfect big cat viewing including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other wild animals found in the savannah grassland in the conservancy. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Full-day game drive.
Just after having breakfast, you will go for a full-day game drive in the Mara triangle and along Mara River where you will enjoy stunning views of the wildlife since the Mara triangle borders Mara River with its lush grassland and acacia forest. While at Mara triangle, you will spot animals like giraffes, elands, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, and many more however the climax of the game drive is at Mara river where you will be able to witness the crossing of the wildebeests during their migration from Serengeti to Maasai Mara and you will have a clear view of millions of wildebeests alongside zebras, Thompson’s gazelles and other wildlife. Lunch will be served in the late afternoon on a picnic that will be set for you. Relax for some time and return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Birding and nature walk
After a peaceful morning meal, your guide will take you bird watching in Musiara marsh where you will spot different iconic birds including the water birds, migratory birds, and grassland birds such as the Madagascar squacco heron birds, Turkey-sized Ground Hornbills, Secretary birds, striking flocks of crowned cranes and many other birds. During the afternoon, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. You will go for an evening guided nature walk and you will have an insight into African nature and wildlife, afterward head back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Cultural tour
After breakfast, you will go for a cultural tour of the Maasai community where you will be able to explore the quintessence of the Maasai culture. You will meet and interact with Maasai people, see their homestead, and get to know their lifestyle especially their distinctive dress code and colorful bead jewelry. You will have lunch en route and proceed with your cultural tour in the Maasai village if interested, you can buy beautiful beadwork, sandals, bangles, clubs, and bows to gift to your family and friends. Retire to the lodge in the late evening for dinner and a night stay.

Day 7: Hot air balloon, picnic, and horse riding
Breakfast will be served very early in the morning before going for a 2 hours hot air balloon safari. While in the floating hot air balloon over a large herd of wild animals, you will have an exceptional wildlife viewing experience and clear photography of the wildlife species. You will have a picnic lunch and relax for some time. You will later go horse riding with park rangers and horse guides in the wide-open savannah plains of Naboisho conservancy. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 8: Departure
Breakfast will be served early in the morning, check out of the hotel with your luggage, your driver will be ready to transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight back home and your way, and you will be able to have a glimpse of the nocturnal animals which are rarely active during day time.
