Detailed Itinerary – 10 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1: Airport pickup
Meet and greet with our representative at the airport who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala.
Day 2: To Murchison Falls National Park.
Start your journey early morning after some breakfast, begin your journey towards North-western Uganda, through Masindi (stop for lunch) then continue to Murchison Falls. On arrival, check-in at your lodge and wait for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (Upmarket Accommodation), Pakuba Game Lodge (Midrange), or Red chili Rest Camp (Budget).
Day 3: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
An early rise with the sun after having breakfast in order to be on the first ferry across the river – making the most of the best hours for Game viewing on the northern banks. Here, hope to find lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, giraffes,s and many more of Africa’s big game. The Game drive will take about 3-4 hours then return to your accommodation for relaxation or go swimming at the Lodge as you wait for an early lunch to prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on the river.
At 14:00hrs, you will head for the guided Boat Trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream of the base of the falls, you will see many hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops about 50mtrs away from the base of the falls allowing ample time to get some wonderful photos of one of the most powerful flows of water in the world. Afterward, you return to your accommodation for supper and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast in the morning, check out of Murchison and head for Kibale National Park, arrive in time for lunch then after go for a nature walk. Dinner and overnight will be at Kyaninga Lodge (Luxury accommodation), Mountains of the moon hotel (Midrange accommodation), or Chimpanzee Forest Guest House (Budget accommodation)
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking
Have breakfast early morning and set off for Chimpanzee trekking. After a gathering and briefing by the ranger guide, you start your journey to trek man’s closest relatives- the Chimpanzees. With sounds from different types of flora and fauna, it’s an amazing lifetime experience. The park is endowed with primate lives among others are Chimpanzee the dominating ones, Baboons, all types of monkeys, Bush Elephants, over 600 bird species, butterflies, and many more. After a long walk in the forest, you return to your accommodation for lunch, relaxation, and later supper and overnight at your lodge.
Day 6: To Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast set off from Kibale heading for Queen Elizabeth National park. Queen Elizabeth is endowed with beautiful natural vegetation and landscape with over 650 bird species making it the number one National Park with Birdlife. On reaching the park, you will have a break for lunch then continue with a Game Drive. After, drive to your accommodation for relaxation supper and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury accommodation), Ihamba Safari Lodge (Midrange accommodation), or Simba Safari Camp (Budget accommodation).
Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Have breakfast and take the road heading for a GAME DRIVE through the Savannah vegetation which brings to you a memorable morning game viewing when all the animals are looking for what to eat before the sun gets very hot. You are expected to see Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Bush Backs, warthogs, antelopes, impalas e.t.c
After lunch, you are to go for an afternoon BOAT CRUISE on the Kazinga Channel situated between Lake George and Lake Edward (Great Lakes Region), where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffalo will be in abundance either at the water edge or alongside your boat! The boat will take three hours up to the famous Kazinga Channel Landing site. There are many bird species which can be seen which among others include King Fisher, Pelicans, African Fish Eagle to mention but a few, thereafter return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, check out of the park for Kampala with memories to last a lifetime, you will have lunch en-route arriving early evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Jinja city tour
Early morning after breakfast, head to Jinja the home of the source of the River Nile. On your way, you will have a stop at Ssezibwa falls which is believed to have been born by a woman. From here you will continue to the Mabira forest the only rain forest in Uganda. Continue to Jinja town where you have your lunch and then go for an afternoon boat ride at the source of the river Nile. Leave for Kampala, dinner, and overnight.
Day 10: Kampala city tour
Breakfast in the morning then you will visit places like the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, the old Kampala mosque, the National Theatre, Namirembe Cathedral, Kabaka’s palace, and the Baha’i temple among others.
